It all began with a necklace.
Let me explain.
Like so many little girls in town, I would save my allowance to spend at the Shoppers Wharf on shiny silver trinkets. Necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings – some with turquoise, others with tiny stones.
My most treasured purchase was a necklace. It had multiple strands strung with shell beads and coral. It was delicate and magical and I felt like a princess when I wore it.
One day it slipped off the dresser and tangled hopelessly when it landed on the carpet. I was heartbroken. I spent hours trying to untangle the strands.
Finally I decided that to mend it I would have to take the necklace apart, and in so doing I discovered that beautiful elements can combine in endless ways to create beautiful pieces.
I discovered my passion. I’ve been creating ever since.
And from college to design school to interior design to jewelry design, creating has always been my passion.
